7TH SENSE THEATRE

WELCOME TO 7TH SENSE!

Seventh Sense Theatre is a registered new writing company making ‘class theatre, without the divide’.

We're driven by new writing, rhythm and breaking down divides, and making space for others to take risks and see what sticks. We make stories for and about people who can feel isolated or alone, try to give them a voice and, most importantly, take those shows to them.

Our first show MEMORY SOLDIER ran at the Camden People’s Theatre in 2018. In 2020, we were selected for Wildcard Theatre’s ‘Four of A Kind’ programme as 'one of the UK’s most exciting emerging companies'. Our current show DOG HAIR hit the stage for the first time to critical and audience acclaim at VAULT Festival 2023, earning it a spot as a staff pick of the week. Alongside our shows, we run year-round low cost & PWYC script surgeries, creative coffees and regular free/PWYC workshops, and in 2022 established CLASS ACTS Festival - a scratch festival for new work written, performed and directed by working class artists. Our work is supported in development by RECLAIM Project, a charity empowering the young working class.

Seventh Sense was born at East 15,  when a working-class Welsh jockey/boxer and a ballerina from Bucks' started making work together whilst studying on the MA Acting course.

So we're kinda like the theatrical Billy Elliot.

(get it?)
